By the way, this was great success, thanks largely to James Munroe. If anyone would like to stay up to date on further tag-ups please follow us @opensci4all on X. We just wrapped a full presentation on Open Science at EthCC 6 Paris on July 18th, where TOPS was mentioned to a room full of scientists and blockchain professionals. |

Hello All,
Just wanted to note that we had a robust showing for our impromptu Open Science tag up as a side event to JupyterCON 2023 just near the main event space at Cité des Sciences yesterday. Co-organizers FrontierDAO (myself) and 2i2c (James) gathered everyone at a local watering hole 'La Gare' (a former train station) for drinks and discussions about Open Science. A bunch of us (20+) then all followed this with dinner at a nearby restaurant. In attendance were JuypyterHub Leads, U of Florida PI, MIT Vis, TOPS PIs and enthusiasts, Open Science advocates, a bunch of Python/ ML experts and more. Very fun crowd and keen interest to learn more about NASA's TOPS initiatives and to discuss Open Science ethos. Some pics posted on Twitter @FrontierDAO This was an impromptu but coordinated effort in establishing Paris Open Science (POpS). (UNESCO & OECD OS teams were invited but couldn't make this one.)
There will be more!
Next POpS tag up scheduled for July. TBA.
