Describe the bug
When starting the stream on a HiDPI monitor on Hyprland with fractional scaling enabled, Moonlight crashes with a segmentation fault. The same configuration with fractional scaling disabled works flawless.

Steps to reproduce

  • Enable fractional scaling on HiDPI monitor on Hyprland
  • Start Moonlight QT client
  • Start stream

Affected games
This happens both with Desktop and Steam Big Picture

Other Moonlight clients

  • No

Moonlight settings (please complete the following information)

  • I am using standard settings

Client PC details (please complete the following information)

  • OS: NixOS 23.11, Kernel 6.6.18
  • Window Manager: Hyprland 1698d336f2511ee7c93d0a520c7ba3491c831e8d on Wayland
  • Moonlight Version: 5.0.1
  • GPU: AMD RX 5700XT
  • Linux package type: NixOS-packaged

Server PC details (please complete the following information)

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Sunshine: 0.22.0
  • GPU: NVidia RTX 2080 Super
  • GPU driver: 536.23

Moonlight Logs (please attach)
Moonlight logs when fractional scaling enabled: moonlight-fractional-scaling-enabled.txt
Moonlight logs when fractional scaling disabled: moonlight-fractional-scaling-disabled.txt

Additional context
Using XWayland instead is not a solution because (a) the window gets blurry and (b) I could also disable fractional scaling with the same drawbacks

This is what was happening for me as well in #1201.
Currently running the latest version of wlroots. Not using fractional scaling solved the issue

This was an SDL bug, as we mentioned in #1198.

libsdl-org/SDL#9283

The SDL fix was released in SDL 2.30.2.
