Is your feature request related to a problem?

No but if possible it will have a smooth transition with mongodb nodejs.

Describe the solution you'd like

Im not sure if there is any way to make the connection to have automatic encryption

Hello @masterbater, the MongoDB Encryption features are supported by the PHP Driver. We created a tutorial on how to use them: https://www.mongodb.com/docs/php-library/current/tutorial/encryption/
You can use the MongoDB library directly if you don't need the Laravel integration.

You can use the driver_options in the config to set the autoEncryption, but I'm not how we can create encryption key in Laravel for know.

We don't have specific integration with Laravel for CSFLE yet, tracking the feature request in PHPORM-136
