Since introducing moderation, the release cycle is pretty painful. The last release I did on the 7th March still isn't live as of the 22nd March. That means that the install process is plain broken right now.
Would a straight unzip and run deployment be preferable?

ugh. Chocolatey makes(made!) it so easy, but I have to agree, since the introduction of the moderation, the situation is untenable. I'm not sure a zip deployment is the way to go either, though it may very well be.
I was able to get by by just specifying the version in my cinst command, but it seems a little backwards to have all users do that just because chocolatey is slacking now.
