It looks like Staticmatic is long dead. I'd really like to see this site in Middleman.

If I'm ever feeling ambitious. would you all accept a migration?

Hi Sam!

That is a very generous offer! We are probably going to be revamping the
way we do some of the stuff on the website, especially the docs (which, as
you may have seen, are rather cumbersome to support.) Mind holding off
until we sort out the changes we want to make? I will look into Middleman
in the meantime. Can it handle some of the custom work we've done with
Staticmatic? That's probably my favorite part of it...

Thanks,

Sounds good. I'm sure Middleman can handle the custom work. In the link I posted, Staticmatic's maintainer said basically there was no need to work on Staticmatic anymore because it would be duplicating the efforts of Middleman. Middleman tries to be the rails of static site generators: comes with a lot of default support out of the box for Compass, Bundler, Sprockets, etc. I think this makes it easier for contributors to jump on board.

Anyway, I'd really like to start helping out with the docs + providing some more hand-holding for new users learning d3.chart. Keep me updated on your progress!
