As documented in Enable Sending Telemetry to Application Insights - Get Started, for BC 18 and newer is recommended to use ApplicationInsightsConnectionString in order to increase reliability. As this isn't needed, it's still something recommended in the documentation of the product.

It would be nice to have this feature supported in containers for BC.
