So I installed wsl.
and have UBUNTU as my default terminal when I run the windows terminal. I went to settings>ubuntu>starting directory and selected my projects folder on my desktop.
however, when I run the terminal and put in "pwd" I get home/username...and when I do ls -a I I just get...

Now, it actually did work. I was using ubuntu and it saw my windows but as soon as I tried changing default directory it messed everything up.
and as a result in VS code when I select WSL on the bottom left it can't see any windows folders anymore like it used to.
