is it possible to download the sample app. So that I can run it locally?

I can provide you with the sources, and you will need php to run it. That's why I preferred a remote connection to check it into a code repository.

that would be great. PHP is no problem. I need to run it locally since I do
travel a lot and do not always have a reliable connection.

Is there an official download of the ParcCalc website code ( as PHP,..) ?
I didn´t find anyhting by search engines...

.. I have time to work on the topic in trains where I don´t have WLAN..

I did not remember who had the souce back in the day. However I did not have a PHP backend available I decided to port it to Javascript. I did not attempt to fix the defects to conserve its beauty:
