"Bad COP" is an excellent part. But could you clarify what is the "COP" by definition or intuition?
After reading the "Bad COP", I realized it is a backdoor to all the treatment /control experiments. Self-healing and Drug resistance are two famous phenomena for the control group and the treatment group respectively in many medication experiments, as you mentioned in "Bad COP". The reason behind this is that the treatment outcome is not immediately formed; it takes time. For the causal inference related to time, we need caution about: the consequence is not what happened after.
