Supporting text in determinate progress indicators

I wish to display an user's progress in a course, or may be display number of files uploaded on server or steps completed ( along number of steps remaining ) in any kind of work-flow. But the design spec. does not contain any details for the Text.

@angdesign Thanks for the update. Just want you to make a small note, that while the steppers were meant for input information in a sequence ( as appears in the old guideline that you shared ). For this issue, i am looking at a stepped progress indicator as mentioned in the issue description. Though i'd vote for the steppers too.
