We need a "tagging" scheme for this, such as railroad=black chain stitch. Of course you have to give examples of standard stitches, though I imagine we would stick with the simple ones.
Also, we could have standard colors. Isn't there some standardization of colors for embroidery thread? Or can we specify well-known colors by name?

@techlady we've got that going in Issue #13. The most common brand, DMC, does have standard colors. I'll pick out a few colors and put them in the other thread for review.
