Is it possible to facilitate the DefaultCredential mechanism within the current code so authentication with a (passwordless) Managed Identity can be utilized?
An example for implementing DefaultCredential:
from azure.identity import DefaultAzureCredential
from azure.storage.blob import BlobServiceClient
token_credential = DefaultAzureCredential()
blob_service_client = BlobServiceClient(
account_url="https://<my_account_name>.blob.core.windows.net",
credential=token_credential
)
Some organizations, such us ourselves, have mandatory expiration on access keys. This way of passwordless authentication would take away the overhead of managing keys.
