Incorrect behaviour

Hi everyone, I've been having problems with ilk mame for a few days. No version starts, if I click on the roms I get a black screen and infinite loading. I checked the RAM and hard disk and I have no problems of any kind. I tried the same roms with mame on retroarch and they work regularly. What can I do? Thank you

Sounds like HW issue, can you try again with -verbose option and paste the resulting log here?

the strange thing is that as I wrote on the retroarch core mame everything works

  1. open command prompt thru start menu.
  2. mame.exe gridlee -verbose > verbose.log
  3. Paste the newly created verbose.log here.

If you don't have a joystick attached then it's unhappy about the multiple keyboard configuration, can try changing keyboardprovider to dinput in your mame.ini if latter, joystickprovider to xinput if former.

Thanks, it works now, but what happened? I didn't touch any options, at a certain point it no longer worked. Thanks anyway

Depending on what you did it is a driver issue with one of your devices attached, detecting which one is a matter to revert the workaround and physically remove them until you find the offending one.

The hang is not natural from our side: it's rather supposed to either resolve or fail in a reasonable time.
