Last commit is 4 months ago, 21 open issues, 25 open PR. I'm worried to start using it today.

I too worry about this library going quiet. I've used it in the past and it has helped my projects immensely. It would be a real shame if it fell by the wayside like so many other great projects that pack so much functionality.
