Linking/embedding diffs in changelog messages

I really like the changelog messages as they allow for the context to be edited more or less in the flow of a discussion. However, there is currently no way to easily discern what a certain edit has changed.

Therefore I propose that the changelog messages please embed the diffs inline, such that they can easily be unrolled:

I would prefer this, and even the ability to have them unrolled by default (probably possible to limit the height if provided in a scrollable textarea) over a button that opens a window because then the changes help discerning changelog messages from regular discussion messages, and are also visible while composing a new comment.
