When constructing a shape via a lambda function, the use of certain mathematical conventions seems to have an effect on whether Studio will display the corresponding shape.
For example, using sqrt(x) vs x**0.5 seems to have a difference (with the former working as expected and the latter not). This is using the Python bindings on Win10
