At this moment a live stream can be time shifted, this wasn't first possible. But when starting a live stream the playback starts with the live moment and when one want to watch the stream from the beginning this is not what one (mostly) wants. So could it be possible to build in the option to start a live stream from the beginning?

Yah, that is possible, do you think a button like a "rewind" in the player itself is sufficient ?

If that makes it possible to start directly from the beginning of the stream without showing any live footage, then that would sufficient and a great addon yes.

I think you're misunderstanding each other :)

@leonardoxh seems to be describing a feature where there is a rewind / "Start from beginning" button in the player, which means you first have to start playback. While @p750mmx describes a feature where you don't have to start the playback and can do so from the "selection" screen.

For comparison: Kodi has a feature that if you stop watching a video, and select it later on, it asks "Continue playback" or "Start from beginning". If this behavior is copied over it would allow you to start the live stream from the beginning, without the user having to open the player and thus see the current "state" (like when starting a live stream much later and you start at the podium ceremony, that obviously ruins watching back the race).
By the way: I'm not stating that a modal such as Kodi has is the perfect solution. Because most live streams obviously start (much) earlier and you don't want to bother everybody who starts the stream 5 minutes before the start of the session with a "Watch live" vs "Start from beginning" question.

An option to start >>Live stream<< or start >>stream from beginning<< (without any circuit footage visible), although with the last, one must forward the stream to the moment that one want to start viewing, but this would not be a problem (for me).

Hmmm, I wouldn't make an option at the start of the stream, as it is another step to decide, we have around 30k of active users so this might affect those users. We could maybe add a long press on the card with these 2 options

Long press would be sufficient.

I often want to start watching a race while it's still going. So it's important to be able to start the stream from the beginning so I don't see any results on screen and spoil the race!!

I often have to wait until the race is over, before I can start watching it, because this is missing.

Would prefer a forced step, to prevent me from accidentally getting spoilers, but I suppose a long press would be better than nothing.

Sometimes I've missed the start by 5 minutes, it's frustrating to wait 2 hours before I can watch the race.

I'm in the US and I can start a live stream and rewind it to the beginning (while it's live). Are you able to do that? I want the long press function so I don't have to rewind as there's more opportunity for me to see a result before I've started to watch the race.
