FireTV - Unable to rewind a video and watch it without the seekbar overlay

On fireTV, if the user tries to rewind a video to s specific point, there is no way to exit the darkened overlay on the video and continue to watch it full-screen from the chosen point.
How to recreate the issue:

• Open any video.
• while the video is playing, press the ok button to bring up the seek bar and buttons.
• use left/right buttons to seek to a part of the video.
• press play
• video starts playing from that point, with the seek bar still overlayed on the screen.
• press back button to clean the screen from the overlay.
• video should keep playing, but instead, it stops and hors back to where the user was before seeking.
