At the beginning, when I pasted the whole text from a game to the Editor LanguageTool never underlined vs, it did only when I made some changes around. Then first of all it ignored the previous vs right above and then, once I deleted the dot to see how LanguageTool would have reacted it simply ignored my change and never suggested putting the dot again.
Trying it separately it works though.
Tell me if you want the paragraph in which the words are or the entire text if you prefer, I was unable to make it happen again. It's pretty hard to understand how LanguageTool detects a typo but then doesn't care about it when repeated or already present, just for a simple change in another part of the text (and not necessarily in the same line where the typo is or the same paragraph).
