To clarify, on plasma 5.19, wayland clients are still being spawned in as floating clients. Does the repo still need to be updated to support wayland (in which case I'd be happy to investigate and provide a PR), or is there an issue with my setup?

On my OpenSuse Leap 15.4, Plasma 5.24.4) I find that windows are not spawned as tiling windows by default. It is possible to enable tiling for each window manually by pressing the “toggle floating” keyboard shortcut for each window once it is spawned, but this is cumbersome.

It looks as if the same issue was described in the last comment of #210. This is on wayland. The referenced KDE bug has been fixed, so I assume this is now an issue with this script.

Last I tried wayland it worked for me, so this appears to be a problem with your setup.

Tbh given the state of KDE on wayland you really really really really want the newest version.

I oddly have 1 window/application "Telegram" that doesn't seem to tile.

Spoke too soon, Telegram and Moonlight both are affected (maybe more). Both are flatpaks but other flatpaks aren't affected.

I have the same issue for Plasma/Kwin 5.26.2 (it was the same in previous plasma versions). It opens windows always not tiling with a window frame (decoration) and also every application (I have no flatpaks).
Do you know how to debug it? Are there any kwin logs that I can look into?
