Hi @babykart. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a kubernetes member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

Instructions for interacting with me using PR comments are available here. If you have questions or suggestions related to my behavior, please file an issue against the kubernetes/test-infra repository.

you could still override the values using helm, no matter what is defined in this file

@wwentland introduced this in #2346. Why do we want to change the default again? It's possible to override this, as I indicated on the issue itself and I believe CPO is a control plane service anyway. We're also following cloud-provider-aws pattern with this: https://github.com/kubernetes/cloud-provider-aws/blob/master/charts/aws-cloud-controller-manager/values.yaml#L14-L16

This is changing a default behavior, so we can't merge this without a release note. But that being said I'm still opposed to this.

/hold for release note.
