For now you cannot use Akamai as the DNS provider: you can only use Cloudflare.
It seems that you cannot use a DNS zone unless you spin up a VM and attach the zone to it so it can start propagating NS servers. We have to validate this, and probably check with them to understand how we can manage that without having to create a VM just for DNS purpose.
