Downloading a song from Youtube using youtube-dl and embeding the thumbnail:
After running musicrpair:

What it looks like in MediaMonkey: &

Also all the other tested players I have installed still used the first embeded picture from the Video (which is not the album or single cover of the song)

Use musicrepair -r [Your path] to remove the default album art. After this use musicrepair as you normally would.
