Rails Girls - User Stories

Purpose: Process Rails Girls applicants to:
Process applications for people interested in attending Rails Girls workshops;
Create a database of interested people (who can then be emailed)

When user gets on site:

• Fill out form (gets sent to Jen as HTML email)
• They get a welcome email with instructions and links to tutorials (done manually)
• Applicants get ranked and selected based on their programming knowledge and background
• Jen gets notified by users that they completed tutorials with screenshots or PDF’s
• Jen then sends follow-up email for each individual tutorial that is completed
• Jen manually creates database of user based on the form she receives

Minimum website

• Users create account

• Users fill out profile

• Users submit their form

• Auto-generate welcome email with instructions

• Users submit their screenshots on their account

• Admin panels shows user progress and any data administrator needs

• Auto-generate emails (progress, rejection, acceptance, reminder, “coach instead?”)

• Coach form
