Application not closing

Hi,

I've been loving the program but recently updated my OS to Big Sur and the application has been behaving oddly.

Cmd+Q will quit the application, but right click on dock icon > Quit closes the window but does not quit the application.
This would be fine but it will actually prevent the computer from restarting or shutting down if I try to restart while the application is open. Then I have to go back and Cmd+Q before trying to Restart again.

More of a minor inconvenience but wanted to put that out there...could be something on my end.
