When I run Hyper, I get an error:

Hyper: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

System: Ubuntu 12.04.3 x86_64

Dependencies should be resolved automatically during install process...

Sorry for the inconvenience but Hyper doesn't run on 64 bit (only 32 bit) linux machines.

Are you sure there isn't any way do run 32-bit binary on 64-bit machine? For example, skype app for linux which I use is 32-bit binary...

There is a way to run node-webkit on linux and it would be to make a build of the app on a linux 64 machine (which I don't have). If you're interested, it would be a major help if you could try creating the Hyro-0.0.2_x86_64.deb package on your computer but you would have to know about packaging node-webkit apps https://github.com/rogerwang/node-webkit#documents. To see what the Hyro debian package consists of simply emulate the linux 32 bit one you already have. However, if you wouldn't want to I will figure out a way

Ive got a VPS Im not really doing anything with, just got it coz it was cheap and thought it might force me to use/learn linux ;) Im so freakn N00b on this thing :P
I installed a 64bit Ubuntu 12 on it and download webkit-node and put all the files from Hyro into the directory and it runs just fine.
I have no idea where to go from here and have no real desire to learn right now (got to many other things), but I was thinking if you want I can email you the root password to the vps (and the vnc one if you want to use that) and you could do your work on it. Im not really going to be needing it for about a week I guess so you can go nuts (really, do anything you want (except bittorrent ;) ).

Great PAEz. If you could email me that, it would be an awesome help.

Cool, email sent.
Like I said, do what ever you want Ill just reinstall later anywayz.
You can find Hyro in /home/nw if you want a quick look.

Update: I got the 64 bit package created. All I need it a computer to test it on. Shouldn't take too long.

@jawerty I'd be happy to make a 64-bit build on Linux or test the one you have if you'll send me whatever you have. Let me know, I'd love to get involved and I'm going to look into some of the issues today.

Jared,

Let me know what I can do to get the 64 bit version of Hyro up and running.

Thanks,
Brady

I'll send you the project directory (zip) and you can follow their
instructions to build the nw package (real easy stuff). It should all be in

Sweet, are you still going to send me a zip file or do you want me to just
grab it from the git repo?

I would prefer if you grab it from the repo.

Jared,

Sorry it took me a couple days but I finally got it working. I know you
have a .deb package for the 32 bit version but those instructions just
guided through making an executable file. I've zipped it all together, I
think you might not need the credits.html file since that's just for webkit
but I'll let you handle it how you'd like to. But to run it all you need to
do is unzip the folder then run the 'hyro' file within the hyro folder.

Let me know if you need anything else. And like I said, I'm planning on
looking at and working on some of the issues for the project but I won't
make any promises since I already was slow on getting this executable out.
Do you have anything you specifically are working on or would like me to
look at or should I just look at the threads on all the issues that are up?

hyro.ziphttps://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2nYpc4qxnFZTWN3d0prMjh2VTg/edit?usp=drive_web
This was too large to send in an email so I had to upload it to Google
Drive.

Thanks,
Brady
