What about adding stats about uptime and ping performance computed from the centralized server ?
It could be a good place to do such job as the centralized server already poll informations from the monitored applications.
It could create two new chart :
ping performance over time
uptime/downtime over time

In my opinion, uptime/downtime would not be really interesting in general because it would not exclude planned downtime. Note that, if you want to see downtime periods you can already look at blank holes in the memory graph.
For ping perfomance (I suppose that it means duration of a simple http request like the current polling one), that's not a bad idea.
Perhaps, it could be done by configuration of a scenario of http requests (a customer journey for example).
