ArcGIS Online for the Digital Humanist

Welcome to the curriculum page for the ArcGIS Online for the Digital Humanist workshop. This workshop was taught as part of the South Bend Digital Humanities Research Institute during Summer 2023.

Workshop Overview

This workshop covers the foundations of using Geographic Information Systems with ESRI's ArcGIS Online platform. ArcGIS Online is a browser-based GIS platform that allows users to create, visualize, and manipulate spatial data. Whether you are interested in working with larger datasets, collaborating on GIS-driven research projects, or creating maps to add an article, conference paper, or class project. ArcGIS Online offers an excellent workspace for researchers who are beginning to work with GIS.
