Project status? #54
Comments
It's ashame if Docker bought out Infinit only to kill it. |
Isn't infunnit dead? Seemed very promising though.

I did a shout on twitter to people who supposedly should be in the loop with no answer. https://twitter.com/termineite/status/1047591338164867075 Domain simply expired and no-one took care to renew-it. |
it seems dead |
@frankielc, still no answer :( Infinit was a great project but with a sad end. |
@paulocoghi no, definitely dead. A shame really. Did have an amazing potential. |
guys check edgeFS, it's similar |
I am not sure if it is much more alive.
The code was pulled off GitHub
the website is still there but every second link (even internal) is dead

Worst: rook.io (repo) is based on edgefs.io (removed repo). Rook's future depends on edgeFS :( |
@paulocoghi as far as I can tell EdgeFS is a file system supported by Rook. But they also support Cepth, CockroachDB, Minio, Cassandra, NFS... nevertheless, to keep things in topic - for the time being InfinitFS is dead. |
None of us from the original Infinit team are working on it anymore afaik. |
@cadeuh could you publish source code then? |
It's not our decision anymore 😕. We opensourced https://github.com/infinit/memo though, which is the main part of the platform. |
Anybody have a fork on this project? we can move forward again |
@cadeuh : is infinit still being developed internally at Docker? |
No ¯_(ツ)_/¯ |
Anything you can share on that? |
Not a bug, but what is the project status? Any ongoing development?
