This project has a gh-pages branch that includes a boilerplate GitHub Pages site, generated by Jekyll.

We should update this project so that when a user goes to the GitHub Pages Site they see a list of recently found issues and a brief description of Mariner.

This may require some configuration changes to the project. We would either need to change the GitHub Pages configuration such that it's pointing to a branch that already has OutputFiles/gitHubMarkdown.md in it, or we would need to change the action to check the gitHubMarkdown.md file into the gh-pages branch. We should be able to simply include this file in the index.md file, so that we don't have to generate output twice.

@DuaneOBrien I've some questions about the configuration, so I've created a draft PR.

  • This PR assumes the default Github pages branch is changes to main
  • In order to update the issue list, updated githubMarkdown.md needs to be pushed on main branch
