Would you consider
A) pre-installing
jemalloc
on the distributed Docker image (darthsim/imgproxy
)? This would make opting in forjemalloc
much easier when this image is being used.B) not only pre-installing it but using it by default (via setting the needed env var in the
Dockerfile
)? Based on the documentation and my own experiencejemalloc
results in better-optimized memory usage without drawbacks, maybe it's worth making it the default in the Docker image distribution. (But I might miss something here.)I'm happy to contribute with a PR if you think either is a good idea.
