Something similar to the normalize-contrast found in GIMP. Mostly for usage together with gradient maps

A challenge is that such op depends on global-image analysis, basically a trivial histogram analysis. Might be that a separate histogram analysis phase would be the best approach, and just let this app execute the normalization.
