What area of the game / PPSSPP

When I run ppsspp v 1.17.1 on a nvidia shield and use a frontend to launch games I get save screen upon launching a game (see attached picture) and I have to click on continue to start game. My Phone and tablet work fine with v1.17.1 from frontend it just seems to be shield.

What should happen

Opening a game in ppsspp from a frontend should start game automatically without save state screen.

I was able to fix nvidia shield problem with frontend by reverting back to version 1.17
