Have clicking on a notification trigger an action instead of opening the app

Would be cool since ios doesnt allow persistent notifications if instead of opening the app, clicking on the notification can trigger a default action. So if before you would hold down and select an action, you click the notification and it triggers the same action as holding it down and selecting it.
