Secure a new wallet:

  • Create a new wallet on a battle tested platform (e.g., Metamask or a reputable hardware wallet).
  • Transfer any remaining funds from your old wallet to the new one.
  • Protect your seed phrases and private keys:
  • Write down your seed phrase on paper and store it in a secure location (e.g., a safe or safety deposit box).
  • Do not store your seed phrase digitally (e.g., screenshots, emails, or cloud storage).
  • Use a hardware wallet to securely store your private keys.
  • Do not share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone, including family members or friends.

Prevent phishing attacks:

  • Be cautious when clicking on links in emails, messages, or social media platforms.
  • Verify the authenticity of the websites you visit (e.g., check for HTTPS and domain names).
  • Never enter your seed phrase or private keys on any website or app, other than the official wallet.
  • Do not sign transactions without understanding the implications and verifying the recipient.
  • Remember, the security of your cryptocurrency assets is in your hands. Always exercise caution and be vigilant in protecting your wallet and digital assets.
