At some point in recent past, iTunes stopped accepting files that I drop into the "Automatically Add.." that I run through MetaZ.

If I take I take a TV show that I've run through Handbrake and try to add (without MetaZ) - it works.
If I take a movie that I encode in Handbrake and then run through MetaZ - it works.
If I set prefs to have MetaZ add the TV Show after processing - it does work

My normal workflow is to encode on a Mac Pro then copy across network to Mini and place in auto add folder, but if I need to start running everything through MetaZ on the Mini and have it add them, I guess I can do that. :-(

iTunes refuses to automatically add any TV show that's been run through MetaZ first. But on a computer with Apple Music / TV, I can manually drop into TV and they will add. But not iTunes on my media server.

I've tried this on 113 and 116 - no difference.
I've tried on different Macs / different OS - no difference.

I've tried selecting "Use iTunes Standard for TV" in MetaZ prefs - no difference.

Media server where I try to automatically add is a Mac Mini (Mid 2011) / 16GB / 10.13.6. iTunes (not Music) 12.8.3.

I originally thought it was an issue in Handbrake because I had recently updated it, but downgrading made no difference and the fact that if I take something straight from HB and it will auto add, leads me to believe its something that MetaZ is doing. And since iTunes refuses to throw any kind of error I have no clue why it doesn't like them. iTunes just throws them into the Not Added folder without any given reason.

Is this a bug, feature or am I doing something wrong (other than trying to manually add)?

I just did a test with a TV Show Episode I had lying on my MacBook (which I have edited with MetaZ) and added that file "Automatically Add.." folder and iTunes picked it up just fine.

I will have to rip something with Handbrake to test further.

And because my MacBook is old (and I haven't upgraded the OS in some time) I am on the exact same version of MacOS and iTunes.

Additional information:

If I encode with H265 in Handbrake 1.33, MetaZ can automatically load the file into iTunes on its own. 1.33 files can also be rerun through MetaZ and changes are made in iTunes.

If I encode with H265 in HB 1.41, MetaZ is unable to move files into iTunes, they are not accepted. If I manually load the files before they go through MetaZ, they will load, but then if I try to change them in MetaZ, the changes are not kept.

So it appears to be something in HB 1.41 for sure. It's possible that the issue started in 1.33. Not sure when I last upgraded prior to 1.41.

Does any of that help?
