I wasn't quite sure what to add in the acknowledgements, I feel like if we acknowledge the above we should also acknowledge numpy, scipy, matplotlib?? The only distinction is just the number of people working on the projects.

Would it be better to list a software used/dependencies thing? We should cite them all in the paper as well.

I'm not sure what protocol here is! When we publish the paper we should cite all this software (regardless of team size, although I realise that ApJ has some sort of policy here). I'll ignore this for now and check with, say DFM, what he would like from us on emcee and corner.

Obviously I didn't check with dfm. We do have dependencies though - is this enough?

I've looked around, and it doesn't look like it's a thing to Acknowledge dependencies in the repo.

As long as we acknowledge the authors in the paper(s) it should be fine I think.

I think this might be out of date now and I have seen a number of other packages acknowledging dependencies. We should take this seriously! Could we produce a short latex/bibtex list of used software that others could add to their publications?

I'll make a list of all the references we use in PBjam and store them in pbjam/data/references.bib

I'll create add a method in Star, which compiles a dictionary of the software and methods/papers used. Should be possible for Session to also use this method so the reference list can be retrieved from either of the classes being used. The reference list for star and session is identical I think.
