Basic tests for authentication with Wiremock in compatTests

In #251 we hit a regression related to authentication which was detected by our e2e test (nice!). However, some of the problems with authentication (e.g. that we "forget" to pass credentials at all) could be probably spotted also in CompatTests with Wiremock. Maybe it would be worth to add some test(s?) with authentication enabled?
