The README has a note about manual changes to adjust the STAT table, but Google requires font builds to be automated. Fortunately we have a general purpose "gftools builder" which can take care of such adjustments. I expect we can provide a pull request to provide this automation.

Please go ahead and add the gftools builder. I have no experience with that tool and would be happy to automate this step.
