Hopefully this is the last release candidate for 1.4.0, fixes a serious bug with the preferences dialog where it was not being freed properly and would cause GTK-Critical errors when used more then once.

1.4.0 RC2 Pre-release
Pre-release

The biggest change in this RC is a fix for #613 which is too do a better job of managing the split ratios between terminals as resizing of the window occurs. However, note that this change is fairly significant and also introduces a new attribute for session files. While the new attribute should be backwards compatible, I do recommend backing up any session files you have in case this change needs to be reverted at some point.

Also, a fix for #615 was also introduced, the pointer position is now used to determine the active monitor when positioning the quake window rather then active window as was done previously.

Beta 1.4.0 Pre-release
Pre-release

This is a beta release of 1.4.0, the following changes have been made since the previous 1.3.5 release:

  • Merged the preferences and profiles dialogs together based on a design from Allan Day for a much more user friendly experience
  • Fixed a leak that was causing VTE file descriptors to be leaked as well as memory
  • Added additional options to Quake mode including horizontal alignment and hiding the headerbar
  • Added an option to zoom the terminal with the mouse scroll wheel
  • Re-worked the close dialog so it shows the user all of the processes running within the context of what is being closed. So if you close the application, you will get warned about the processes across all Terminix windows, etc.
  • Fixed synchronized input so IME input works as expected
