Allow fully creating and modifying switches programmatically

I would like to build a ListView of entries that contain these switches where each of them have custom icons. But it doesn't seem that this can be done. With that requirement it would be even better if all attributes could be set with simple methods so that these views could be completely inserted and configured without XML.
