Question: Prev / Next Links + Page Tags

Hi,
I have a quick question please regarding the prev/next links.

If I set the page category to 'docs' within the taxonomy then the prev/next links work as expected as per your documentation. However if then add a tag to the page then the prev/next links disappear.

I can see within the template that there is two pieces of code for the nav links. One for a page with no tags and one for a page with tags, however i do not understand why the links would disappear.

Could you please explain this to me? What am I missing here?
