Current behavior:
The feedback screen tells the applicant to call the PD in about a month if they haven't heard back. It's on that person to set their own reminder.

Desired behavior:
Set up a system that, with the user's consent, automatically texts them in about a month to check whether they've heard back. If they haven't, it encourages them to call the PD's office, giving the specific phone number (and maybe the contact person's first name, for clarity and friendliness).

Technical notes:

  • SMS system, perhaps
  • Would need to first check their consent to receive text messages
  • Could do that on the feedback screen ("Can we text you to check whether your case has been processed?" or "Want us to text you a reminder?" [insert legalese help text about them being responsible for any charges])
