The attribute VisuCoreOrientation of the visu data structure in pvread_visu_pars.m it is instantiated but not parsed.
Therefore I guess the orientation is the one directly provided by the data structure 2dseq.
How did you recover the orientation of a parsed image? In particular for DW images, how did you verified the compatibility between the image orientation and the orientation of the b-vectors?
