Steps to reproduce

  1. use linux
  2. download the latest version from here https://github.com/forkgram/tdesktop/releases
  3. pick the Telegram.tar.xz file, this one for example https://github.com/forkgram/tdesktop/releases/download/v4.11.6/Telegram.tar.xz
  4. download it, extract it, launch it
  5. open the settings and look at the version on the bottom left
  6. you see this, version 4.10.2, while the expect version is 4.11.6:

image

  1. compare newly released features of telegram (for example selective quote) and see that they are missing

Operating system

Linux (ubuntu LTS jammy)

Version of Telegram Desktop

4.10.2 while I'm expecting 4.11.6 from the download link

Looking here https://github.com/forkgram/tdesktop/actions/workflows/linux.yml?page=4 it seems that the build have been failing or partially failing since 9 months? I'm not sure I'm looking at the right action since there is also a snap one

Hello,

Today, forkgram offered to self update itself to version 4.11.6, I'm not sure it's related to this ticket but if it is, thx a lot <3
