See this Flask-RESTful issue:

As noted in #957 it appears in one place. The issue was opened in November of 2022, and so only like 3 months old. Flask is at 2.2.3, and given their release history, we may see 2.3 sooner than later. The Flask commit mentioned in #957 is completed and merged.

My goal is to understand the risk of Flask-RESTful not getting in a fix before Flask 2.3 is released, and mitigate it in some fashion. Given the context I am wondering if there is any feedback on these 2 questions:

  • Is there a plan to have a fix in place by the time Flask 2.3 is released?
  • Do you see the chance of it not being fixed?
  • Do you have a suggestion for a work-around?

Regards,

Aaron
