I think it maybe useful to people that are starting using the framework to have a complete webapp demo or even a maven archetype that have all things wired.

I can help with that.
But i think we need a example using pure JS and maybe another one using react. React has a learning curve and it may be confusing to mix in a "get started" application.

I think that the TODO would be nice. Any other ideas?
