Crash while scanning library #743
Comments
After uninstalling the release Exaile 4.1.0-rc1 and installing the latest regular release exaile does not run at all. |
In theory, both should work. Have you tried running it from a terminal? If no, can you please try? If yes, what is the output? |
I've found the documentation ... Now I've installed Python 2.7, All-In-One PyGI/PyGObject for Windows Installer. and exaile 4.02. GStreamer: 1.16.0 It says: "Scanning collection" 0% Now it stands at 1231 in collection and there is no progress... wait ... now I see 2079, but scanning collection remains at 0 %. Playing music via "Files" works - good. The progess bar is still at ~1 cm. I think, the progress should be updated more frequently and the 0 % could be 0.00% to show that it really progresses. (The user can not be sure, if it works or hangs.) I see no lyrics. What can I do? (I tested with a couple of flac and mp3 files) Reopen the "Files" Tab and open another folder makes a little stop of the music. |
I think, exaile crashes a while after opening the log file. After a restart, I see the progress bar, which runs right, left, right. How do I install a plugin and where do i get it from? |
Exaile 4.1.0-rc1 crashes on Windows 10 64bit while scanning the library
Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
Expected Behavior
I expect, that the amount of scanned songs increases. But it remains (hangs?) at "17157 in collection".
Environment
GStreamer: 1.18.1
GTK+: 3.24.23
GTK+ theme: Adwaita
Locale: de_DE cp1252
Mutagen: 1.40.0
PyGObject: 3.38.0
Python: 3.8.6
I'm new to exaile, should I use the latest stable instead?
Greetings,
merlinuwe
