Looks like this should be part of 0.11 release, right? Asking as openjdk@8 does not support apple m1.

relates to Homebrew/homebrew-core#133477

Please take a look at: https://www.embulk.org/articles/2023/04/13/embulk-v0.11-is-coming-soon.html

Unfortunately, Embulk supports only Java 8 officially, as of v0.10.50 and v0.11.0. However, we believe that Embulk should work basically with Java 11 and Java 17 at this point. If you are interested, please give it a try.

We plan to expand testing with newer Java versions, along with moving forward with Embulk v0.11, so that we can officially announce that Embulk supports Java 11 and Java 17 at some point in the future.

There are some cases in that plugins are not compatible with newer Java. Such a plugin would need some work.

I see, but where can I see the plugins java support backlog?

No such a backlog. It's per each plugin developer.
