Click on highlighted area is not detected

I have implemented a tour using the newest version of Reactour.
When clicking on any highlighted area or button/link, nothing happens in the tour except whatever is bound to the click event of the highlighted element..
It is supposed to automatically go to the next step automatically right?

I am not sure fully understood your point, mind creating a minimal reproduction in a sandbox in order to allow others to debug faster your use-case and try to find a solution as soon as possible? Thanks!
